The patron saint of our parish is St. Anthony of Padua. He said, “Who can be more blessed or happier than one in whom God has set up his dwelling place?”…”You have everything when you have within you the One who made all things, the only One who can satisfy the longings of your spirit, without whom everything else is nothing.” Through his spiritual patronage, this parish had its humble beginnings and continues on its journey.
The doors of the parish are open to everyone wishing to join and become part of a community of love, service and work for the greater glory of God. We walk into the future with great confidence as we grow in our love for Christ as a missionary parish, one that seeks to reach out to God and to others. In thanksgiving to God, through the intercession of St. Anthony, we are truly a blessed and happy family as the spirit of God continues to dwell in each of our hearts and souls.
St. Anthony Catholic Church. We are a Catholic community of approximately 680 families located near the historical district of Bryan, Texas. We have a very active religious education program for children and adults as well as a Mother’s Day Out program. Additionally, we have a strong outreach ministry assisting the less fortunate in our community. Our patron saint, St. Anthony of Padua, states best the philosophy of the St. Anthony family, “The saints are like the stars. In his providence Christ conceals them in a hidden place that they may not shine before others when they might wish to do so. Yet they are always ready to exchange the quiet of contemplation for the works of mercy as soon as they perceive in their heart the invitation of Christ.” We welcome you to come and visit us at St. Anthony and see for yourself the hidden treasure of saints working for Christ.
